General Information about Edirne
Located in the Thrace region of Turkey, Edirne has a population of around 415,000 (2024 data). Known as the “Gateway to Europe”, it borders both Bulgaria and Greece. Between 1363 and 1453, it served as the capital of the Ottoman Empire before Istanbul.
